About Hollands Wood Campsite
Hollands Wood is one of the New Forest's largest and best-loved campsites, spread beneath towering oak and beech just north of Brockenhurst. There are no marked pitches or dividing hedges — you simply find a spot among the trees and settle in. New Forest ponies and cattle wander freely through camp, which is charming but means keeping food and rubbish secure. The tree canopy brings welcome shade and shelter, though some corners can stay damp after prolonged rain.
Facilities are a cut above the more basic forest sites: heated shower blocks, washing-up sinks, laundry, chemical disposal and drinking water throughout. There's no electric hook-up, so this suits tents and self-sufficient tourers rather than anyone needing mains power. A small seasonal shop covers basics, and dogs are welcome on leads.
Location is the real draw. Brockenhurst village is a 15-minute walk, offering pubs, cafes, bike hire and a direct train to Waterloo — unusual for a woodland site. Walking and cycling routes fan straight out into open forest, and Lymington's coast is 15 minutes by car. The site runs March to October and books up fast for holidays, so plan ahead for summer.

Absolutely amazing. A beautiful place to stay. The wild horses roaming around was great. Facilities were great and very clean. It was nice and quiet in the evening so a good nights sleep. Lots of rules but they are for safety and completely understandable. Definitely coming back again.

Super friendly staff that accomodated our late checkout needs. Clean facilities and free drinking water taps were much appreciated! The campsites are magical! We camped amongst ancient oaks and an an ancient holly tree. The road was nearby and a bit noisy on the side of the park that we chose but that suited us fine as a quiet couple, it allowed us a private pitch away from busier family sites. Overall it's a fantastic friendly, family vibe with excellent access to forest areas and Brockenhurst. We've camped here a few times before and will be back for more!

This was our first glamping experience and the standards were set extremely high. The tents were wonderful and very comfortable. There were lots of details like flowers, rugs and fairy lights. The tents were in a beautiful setting facing a lovely field where children played all day. What made our experience even more special were all the people who worked there. They were genuinely kind, thoughtful, caring and helpful and make the campsite the special place that it is. Thank you.

Here’s a polished and more impactful version of your review: My cousin and I have just returned from a camping trip here, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The campsite was perfect—clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The toilets and showers were spotless and never overcrowded, which made our stay even more comfortable. What really made the difference, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. A special mention has to go to Harry, who genuinely saved our trip. Our tent failed unexpectedly, and we were on the verge of packing up and heading home when Harry stepped in. Without hesitation, he took the time to fix our broken tent and made sure it was secure and ready to use again. It wasn’t a simple repair, but he handled it brilliantly. Harry’s kindness, willingness to help, and can-do attitude turned what could have been a disaster into a memorable camping trip. We can’t thank him enough. We’ll definitely be back.
