The cottage was refurbished in 2021 and comes furnished and equipped for self-catering, with essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi all included.

Ground floor holds a living room with a woodburner and smart TV, a separate kitchen and dining space, and a shower room. Upstairs are a bedroom with a kingsize bed and another with two singles. A narrow staircase connects the floors. Front and rear gardens are enclosed, each with seating and tables. There's parking for one car on site. Dogs stay free and the property has thoughtful touches for them—and for you, including a wine honesty rack.

Lyndhurst itself has restaurants, cafés and bike hire; the forest is walkable from the door. Ashurst railway station is two and a half miles away, with direct trains to London, and Brockenhurst is just under four miles. The cottage does not allow smoking.
