Sunny Lyn Holiday Park

Sunny Lyn Holiday Park, Lynbridge Rd, Lynton EX35 6NS, UK

Riverside touring and camping a short walk from both villages

About Sunny Lyn Holiday Park

Sunny Lyn Holiday Park tucks into a wooded valley beside the West Lyn River, within easy walking distance of both Lynton and Lynmouth – making it the natural choice if you're keen to camp car-free yet still reach the cliff railway, harbour and coast path on foot. Electric and non-electric pitches for tents and tourers spread among the trees along the riverbank, with a handful of static caravans, lodges and apartments for non-campers. The park holds exclusive fishing rights on its stretch of river, a quiet draw for anglers.

A recently refurbished shower block, laundry, free wifi and wash-up area cover the essentials, while an adjoining pub-restaurant and a seasonal café save the walk into either village for meals. The riverside setting offers good shelter from Exmoor's weather and welcome shade in summer, though some visitors find it feels a little closed-in compared with the open moorland sites further out. For those prioritising village access over wide-open views, it delivers handily.

This is the only location I will be visiting over and over and over again. We stayed at this caravan site 6 times now, and I highly recommend. The staff is super friendly and the location is out of this world. So quiet, with the birds , and the forest and the river. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. ✨️

Absolutely gorgeous spot! Really beautiful, facilities were immaculately clean, cafe was lovely, and the owners and staff were really accommodating and welcoming. Campsite was lovely and quiet, and well maintained. Would absolutely recommend if in the area, we will be back. Very close to the Lynton/Lynmouth area also, with trails near by for hiking.

We stayed at SunnyLyn for 3 nights with our Motorhome, our pitch was next to the river and waterfalls, it was so relaxing, the whole site is beautiful, well maintained and managed. The showers, toilets and washing areas are spotless. The management team are very knowledgeable about the local area and helped us navigate the steeper paths, The dog walks from the site are through woodland with ever changing scenery. We have already made arrangements to return

Nice place to stay, lots of cabin accom up the hill but we were in tent/campervan section so comments are about that. Totally lovely setting although obviously not for sea views & sunsets. Very pretty stream runs beside with easy access to bridge over it & extensive walks in the woods & wherever for energetic types. 'Facilities' not extensive but very nice quality & seem to be sufficient when we were there. Nice little phonebox 'library' of books & games compensate for no playground & the site shop is small but adequate. Cafe very nice for breakfast but only breakfast as closes early so don't lie in too long...
