About Penrhosmawr Holidays
If you're seeking an escape from urban life, this scenic family-friendly site on a working farmstead three miles from Machynlleth might be just what you need. Penrhosmawr sits less than 10 minutes' drive from the edge of Snowdonia National Park, where you can hike, cycle, fish or try more adrenaline-fuelled pursuits like abseiling, canyoning and ziplining. Back on site, there's plenty of nature to explore – kids can scramble up trees, paddle in streams and wander acres of woodland paths, while foraging for firewood adds to the back-to-basics appeal.
With so much adventuring on the cards, you'll want to keep energy levels up: start the day with a breakfast pack from the farm, stock up on supplies in Machynlleth, then fire up the barbecue come evening or head to one of the nearby restaurants. The site can feel a touch rustic in places, but that's all part of the charm for those seeking a genuine return to nature.

What visitors say
Beautiful location, super friendly hosts, good room marked down a star as the room was a little cold at night, but then I like to be quite warm! Lovely breakfast and great safe parking for a van.

Great if u like the freedom pitch up where u like campfire etc. Not many rules so partys going well after midnight .toilets and shower facities not big enough for how many people on site. So expect to wait for a shower. And u have to park ur car away from where u pitch so u have to carry ur gear That said. The owner is very nice. And the view are great. Would go again. Thanks

Lovely location, nearby village had a lot to offer, nice local shops. Owner very kind, with friendly dog running around the farm. Big choice of place to pitch your tent. Big downside of the site, were toilets and showers :( . Very unclean and needed maintenance. Power socket to plug hairdryer or other device. There was problem with car park on the grass as well. When is more people there then is a chaos . Otherwise, pleasant stay.

Campsite got good view. But the showers and Toilet are very dirty. Only two showers and one toilet for the mens when campsite was very full on Saturday which was no good! There was tent making noise from 8 clock to 3ish with loud music and shouting nothing was done or said would not go back to this campsite.
