I stayed here with my family for 5 nights in the summer. We absolutely loved it. The kids loved it. Even mum was impressed. It could have been a bit cleaner, thats the only criticism i have. We saw super cool fighter jets flying low on the mach loop, you can see this from the patio and balcony. The grounds and surrounding area is breathtakingly beautiful, and the weather changes every 10 mins, mist rolls down and up the mountains all day. At night we were fortunate enough to host at least 2 very vocal owls, right in the tree next to the patio. If that wasnt enough we saw the northern lights briefly through a break in the clouds. We weren't even aware you could see them from Machynlleth. But google says absolutely you can. We were left completely to ourselves and to be honest i appreciated the privacy. I hope we were good guests as we will definitely be back. Just like the rest of wales, this place is magical. Thankyou!

Oh my goodness! I was at Plas Dolguog on Saturday to lead the most beautiful wedding. What a stunning location with the most incredible view. We held the wedding in the huge orangery then went outside to the lovely garden for drinks, ice creams and a jazz band! Stephanie and her team were so lovely too. The whole house is stunning with lots of room all beautifully decorated and I would highly recommend Plas Dolguog for a stay or a celebration

What a lovely 2 night experience, This hotel well exceeded our expectations. With lovely host and a stunning room. Water pressure was amazing which made the shower one you really don’t want to get out of. Dog friendly, very relaxing and a great location. Can’t wait to go back again for longer.

We were married here 25 years ago and went back for a visit. The new owners couldn't have been more welcoming. The improvements they've made are first class and only add to the beauty of the place. Truly a beautiful place to stay.
