View on Google MapsThe Manor Pen is a one-bedroom property on New Shelve Farm, just outside Maidstone. You arrive into an open-plan ground floor where the living room, dining area and kitchen all flow together—the kind of layout that works well for a couple or small group who want to be in the same space without feeling cramped. Upstairs is the bedroom with a king-size bed, and a shower room with heated towel rail below.
The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering: electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, and a washer-dryer for longer stays. Bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are all included. There's an enclosed front garden with patio seating, and parking for one car on site. One dog is welcome. No smoking indoors.
Lenham village itself has pubs, shops and a village square with historic character, while the Kent Downs countryside around it offers walking and cycling. Travel cots and highchairs are available on request.

A unique accommodation on a farm with Asian/Indian-style decor, a well-equipped kitchen, and a comfortable mattress. The only drawback is that it's quite close to a main road, so it's not entirely quiet and secluded.

I had a wonderful stay at this peaceful countryside retreat in Kent. The property is set in beautiful, quiet surroundings that made it the perfect place to unwind and escape the busyness of everyday life. The Oast itself was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed for my stay. The attention to detail really showed, and it felt both cozy and well cared for. As a host, Gilly was friendly, proactive, responsive, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. If you’re looking for a calm getaway in the Kent countryside, this place is ideal. I will happily return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful break.
