Maidstone
View on Google MapsCouples and small families will find The Oast works well for a countryside break without the usual self-catering compromises. Two kingsize bedrooms sit on separate floors, each with its own bathroom—one en suite with a shower, the other with a bath in the room itself. The ground floor holds the main living space, a kitchen with a full range of appliances including an American fridge and dishwasher, and direct access to a private garden with patio and sitting area.
Essentials are covered: electricity, heating (both oil and underfloor), wi-fi, bed linen and towels all come as standard. One dog travels free. The property sits near Lenham, within reach of walking routes across Kent countryside. There is parking for two cars on site. No smoking indoors. Check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00.

What guests say
A unique accommodation on a farm with Asian/Indian-style decor, a well-equipped kitchen, and a comfortable mattress. The only drawback is that it's quite close to a main road, so it's not entirely quiet and secluded.

I had a wonderful stay at this peaceful countryside retreat in Kent. The property is set in beautiful, quiet surroundings that made it the perfect place to unwind and escape the busyness of everyday life. The Oast itself was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed for my stay. The attention to detail really showed, and it felt both cozy and well cared for. As a host, Gilly was friendly, proactive, responsive, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. If you’re looking for a calm getaway in the Kent countryside, this place is ideal. I will happily return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful break.
