Caravan and campsite on Orkney's Mainland with tent, caravan and motorhome pitches; showers available.
About Deerness Caravan and Camp Site
Deerness Caravan and Camp Site is a mixed campsite on Orkney's Mainland that takes tents, caravans and motorhomes across its pitches. The site has showers as its main facility.
With limited information about pitch numbers and site layout, this is a small-scale operation rather than a sprawling destination park. It suits campers looking for a straightforward base to explore Orkney rather than those seeking extensive on-site amenities or entertainment.

Thank you to the Deerness Community Centre for providing the riders of Orkney Bike Run 2022 for Clan Cancer support, with Teas & Mince Rolls and a decent car park to accommodate the 197 motorbikes! You need an electric charging station though

Good for motorhome overnight parking. There's electric hookup, water and Wi-Fi. Local shop has food and alcohol. The road is not noisy. The wind is 🤓 Go north for impressive coastal views. Go the other way to Geo to sit in your van, watch the waves and have a night of wild camping!!

Price for a night excl electricity is 15 GBP with 20 GBP Extra adult 5 GBP. Quite pricy for a parking lot. Showers and toilet look very good. When we arrived in the evening, there was no one else, besides of a person that was living there in a caravan? We moved to Geo, nice place to stay but very in the middle of nowhere.
