This tiny, family-run Worcestershire site – just a handful of pitches on grass or hardstanding – has fabulous views towards the hills and a peaceful, adults-only atmosphere that's just right for a quiet rural sojourn. Dogs are welcome year-round, with a footpath just outside for nice strolls, and there's even a massage and beauty treatment shop on site if you fancy some pampering.
A drive of 10 to 20 minutes gets you to the Malvern Hills' top spots, while the Cotswolds National Landscape lies in the other direction, adding more lovely walking trails to your list. Closer to home, it's about a mile's level walk to Hanley Swan for the village shop and pub, or five minutes' drive to Upton on Severn – particularly lively during its music festivals. Great Malvern, Tewkesbury and Worcester are all nearby for more urban strolls.
Note that there are no guest toilets or showers here, so you'll need to be self-contained on the bathroom front.
