What visitors say
This place is fabulous. We had a lovely afternoon here walking the grounds and enjoying a day of sunshine. If you don’t mind missing the Gardens and the inside tour of the mill, entry is free. The mill restaurant was lovely for a quick cuppa halfway through our visit. Highly recommend a day out here.

Lovely grounds to walk around, had taken the dog and so unable to visit the mill or the house but able to walk all around the grounds and gardens. Also one cafe is dog friendly so able to sit in or outside depending on the weather and get a drink and something to eat. Also plenty of ice cream stalls to buy ice creams on a warm suuny day. Part of national trust so as a member free to get in and parking was free and loads of spaces.

Wonderful to see a working cotton mill in action. Unbelievably noisy with just one loom working. Staff very knowledgeable and good communication. Gardens also very attractive. Make sure you book a tour of the Apprentice House on arrival. Not to be missed.
