ABIMDOT Exquisite apartments

By far, this was my worst experience ever. The host was rude, nonchalant, and thoroughly unprofessional. To begin with, he provided the wrong address and was not honest enough to take responsibility for his mistake. Instead, he became defensive, argumentative, and unpleasant. I was unable to sleep until about 3:00 a.m. due to a couple loudly quarrelling in a nearby room. I alerted the host multiple times while it was ongoing, as situations like this can easily escalate into something more serious. Unfortunately, I received only dismissive and underwhelming responses to my messages. And then there was the smell—ranging from an extremely offensive, dirty odor to strong weed smoke throughout the property. It appears guests are free to smoke whatever they want, at the expense of others’ comfort. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Please stay away; it is not worth it. Poor service and a careless, indifferent host who clearly does not care about the people staying there.

It gets 2 stars because the beds WERE comfy, and it was warm. But oh lord, the rest of it? To start with, my friends arrived a few hours ahead of me, when arriving, there was a random man messing with the key boxes. He then informed my friends that he was NOT the owner, and made my friends pretty uncomfortable being overly friendly and over-explaining that the owner had just asked him to "sort the room out", he handed the keys to my friends and then insisted on showing them around. Upon entering the property, the overwhelming smell of stale urine, BO, damp and mould hits you immediately. He took my friends up the stairs, and showed them the room, the room itself was fine, basic but comfortable and relatively clean. The bathroom was also fairly clean, but there was no toilet paper left? And no spare rolls anywhere. The man showing my friends around explained that the door (which has a huge glass panel in it!?) does not shut unless you lock it, and that if we needed anything, he was staying in one of the other rooms. At this point my friends contacted me and instructed me that I was not to go to the property alone. During the night, the noise was unbelievable, one of the people in the rooms has a VERY loud cat, and a child throwing tantrums well into the early hours of the morning. Due to the creepy vibes, the noise and the smell, it was pretty awful, and we were glad to be gone when we were. Again though, props for it being comfortable and warm. 2/10 - Never again.

There was absolutely nothing exquisite about this place. From the moment we arrived, the entrance reeked of urine, setting the tone for an extremely unpleasant stay. The bathroom and kitchen were disgustingly filthy, and taking a bath was a nightmare the water fluctuated between scalding hot and freezing cold with no consistency whatsoever. To make matters worse, the host provided the wrong address, which forced us to spend twice as much on Uber just to locate the place. As if that wasn’t enough, the next-door guests were unbearably loud, constantly shouting and quarrelling to the point that we felt genuinely unsafe. We contacted the host out of concern before the situation escalated further, but our complaint was completely ignored and no action was taken. This was without question, one of the worst places I have ever stayed. I do not recommend it to anyone, and I will certainly never return. If the owners intend to remain in business, this place requires a complete and urgent renovation. Anything worth doing at all is worth doing properly and this place falls far short of that standard.

Do not book this place. This is my 100% honest review on this and I can't express enough that this ruined my few days in Manchester. Firstly when we arrived at the property, we collected the keys from a safe lock... Entering the building to where we were staying, we was greeted with an incredibly strong odor of baby feces.. if it was possible to attach a smell i would... which travelled all around and even into the room we was in. The kitchen door had a missing piece of glass, the cooker was grotty and missing parts. Bathroom had a broken shower, you either have it really hot or really cold. In the actual room, broken plug sockets and this is absolutely nothing compared to what was advertised, we stayed with you in Cardiff and it was good so we thought it would continue to be a positive experience. This was awful, we ended up booking a different hotel room elsewhere. It is very safe to say that we will never be using oyo again due to this horrible experience. I have popped the actual ad picture on this and an actual image of what we had. Is this 'exquisite'? Not at all. Would I come back here? No, I'd rather pitch a tent. I'm also pretty damn certain the poor conditions in this property has triggered a chest infection, safe to say I am beyond pissed off about all of this. 2 rubbish nights and literally a few days later I have a bad infection? Coincidence? Nope. Thanks a lot 🤌
