About Manchester Piccadilly Hotel by Marriott

Manchester Piccadilly Hotel by Marriott suits travellers who want a dependable base close to the station, whether that's a work trip requiring meeting space or a city break where you'd rather not walk far with luggage. With 338 rooms spread across nine floors, it's built to handle steady footfall without losing the essentials of comfort.

Rooms are spacious and modern, finished with air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and city views from many windows, and family rooms and accessible rooms are available alongside the standard layout. Breakfast draws particular praise, with a varied buffet and staff who are consistently helpful during that service, though some guests note that attentiveness elsewhere can vary. Beyond the restaurant and bar, there's a gym, spa and sauna, plus practical extras like room service, laundry, luggage storage and business facilities including meeting rooms.

Onsite parking is available for a fee, and the location puts guests near pubs, restaurants and entertainment, with golf and watersports also listed nearby. It works well as a straightforward, well-connected stay in central Manchester.

My partner and I recently stayed at Hotel Mario in Manchester. The hotel itself was very good, and once we finally got into our room, it was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we had booked. The room was the best part of our stay. Unfortunately, our experience at reception was very disappointing. We were asked to wait in the lobby until our Deluxe Double Room was ready, and the receptionist (I believe her name was Parita or Panita) said she would call us. That never happened. We ended up being the last guests waiting and had to ask another member of staff about our room. We were then given a room on the 4th floor, only to find another couple already staying there with the same room number and key. We had to go back to reception with all of our luggage and explain everything again. Instead of receiving an apology, we were asked to repeat all of our details even though we had already checked in. After driving all the way from London to Manchester, we were exhausted and just wanted to relax. Eventually, we were given the correct room on the 6th floor. While the room itself was excellent, the receptionist's attitude throughout the whole situation was rude, unhelpful, and lacked professionalism. A simple apology and better communication would have made a huge difference. I would stay here again because the room and hotel were lovely, but I sincerely hope the management improves the customer service at reception, as it did not reflect the quality of the hotel

Very nice hotel overall. Lovely hospitality. Breakfast buffet was classic english but fresh. Loved their coffee as well. Dinner at the bar was nice as well. Good was great and service was quick and awesome. Rooms were pretty big and okayish clean. Bathroom was quite spacious too.

Amazing experience at the Marriott. We visited in March and yet we still bring it up all the time! Travelling from Australia, it was the best hotel experience throughout our whole england trip. The room was incredibly spacious and made us speechless. Room service was fantastic and the food was exquisite! An added bonus of our room (especially for football fans) was the view of The Emirates Stadium. We couldn’t recommend this hotel enough to others.

Last minute unexpected stay and was delighted with our choice. Excellent location for the train station, shopping and the O2, all easy walking distance from the hotel. Car parking onsite £20 per night which is reasonable to the city. Our room was lovely and comfortable with all mod cons and a nice deep bath. Breaky was good, lots of options and although busy, was well managed with plenty of seating for everyone. Customer service was exceptional on every level.
