About Premier Inn Manchester Trafford Centre North

Premier Inn Manchester Trafford Centre North suits anyone planning a day of shopping or a short family break, thanks to its position close to the Trafford Centre and its straightforward, no-fuss setup. With 62 rooms across two floors, it works equally well for a quick overnight stop or a longer stay, and free on-site parking (arranged by registering at reception) makes arriving by car easy, with an electric vehicle charge point also available.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks facilities, and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. A restaurant and bar on site cover breakfast and evening meals, with breakfast in particular noted for being freshly cooked. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and rooms are kept clean and comfortable, though some visitors have noted that the building itself shows its age in places.

Beyond the hotel doors, there's plenty nearby to fill a stay, including golf, fishing, horse riding and entertainment options, plus a good spread of pubs, bars and restaurants for evenings out. A 24 hour reception means arrival times are flexible, making this a practical choice for those prioritising convenience and value over polish.

I stayed here for one night whilst attending an event at the B.E.C Arena. Getting here by car was easy, and there was plenty of parking available - you can use either the main carpark shared with the restaurant next door or one of the 10 or so spaces near the hotel entrance (a few of these spots were available when I arrived), and the parking felt secure and was free when registering my car in the reception. I was able to do an early check-in at around 11:15, and the staff behind the desk were very friendly and helpful. My room seemed like a standard Premier Inn room, and was definitely not the worst Premier Inn room I've stayed in. Though there is no air con in this hotel which was not ideal during the heatwave at the time - they did supply a decent fan but it was still very hot. Also the hotel is right next to a fairly large roundabout so there was fairly loud traffic most of the time. Also there were no USB sockets in the room which I've come to expect in most public places now, so I ended up needing to buy a USB plug to charge my phone. Other than that I can't fault the room. The location was great for visiting the B.E.C Arena and Trafford Centre. It's a 10 or so min walk from the Trafford Centre, with pedestrian crossings to the south of the hotel taking you to the Trafford Centre entrance near the bus station, and this is great for getting food. The nearest tram station for getting to the B.E.C Arena (and Manchester centre) is on the north side of the Trafford Centre, and is a 15 min tram + walk journey to get to the Arena. There is also a 24 hour ASDA opposite the tram station which is useful. The only quibble is that there are no pedestrian crossings for a direct route between the hotel and the tram station - you need to cross next to the Trafford Centre bus station which is a little bit of a detour, about a 10 min walk. Overall I would stay here again if needing to visit the B.E.C Arena or Trafford Centre.

My friend, Anne and I went along into this venue to celebrate my early birthday, drink & food celebrations. We shared a bottle of their house wine, both enjoying a starter, a main and just myself enjoying a desert too. Lovely food! The staff were helpful and pleasant and it's nice in there to me, as it wasn't too bright in any way and areas were sectioned off, for privacy., not like other venues whereby you sometimes feel as though you may be in a canteen somewhere perhaps instead then, with a very brightly lit area too. Love the charming, homely feel to it and we will return ahead there again too, at some point. I've given 5 star for the dining rooms areas, whilst I didn't stay there over-night, so can't comment on them, that's all. I've given a 3 star as regards location, as though my friend and I, no longer own a car, it is hard work trying to cross the road, coming out of the Trafford Centre and it is one heck of a busy road at the front of it also. It would be better, I think it there were at least one more pedestrian crossing ahead, for pedestrians too, who may be walking over from the Trafford Centre perhaps or pop some traffic lights on the roundabout, closes to this venue also. I gather if this has a hotel part to it, it will be wheelchair accessible throughout. Their menu had enough vegan choices on it too, to cover my diet choices on it, as well.

This premier inn is the worst I have ever been too and I've stayed in over a dozen in the U.K and always loved them. I won't say I stayed here as it was so bad I chose to lose the money of the booking and pay to stay at another hotel. The decor is dark and depressing. The rooms tiny and grotty. A room for two with one bath towel and one hand towel is ridiculous. The staff on reception need retrained in customer service. I stayed the night before at a different hotel in Manchester and they offered me a room 6 hours before my check in time when I arrived early. This place told me I couldn't book in until exactly 11 when I arrived ten minutes early for my extra paid early check in. Beyond ridiculous. Then took the girl 15 minutes to check me in. And after all that it wasn't even worth it when I saw the dismal room. As for convenience and walking distance to the trafford centre, hell no. By the time you've walked round all the roads and stopped at every set of lights to wait to cross to the next set of life you're talking half an hour. Certainly wouldn't want to walk back carrying a load of shopping after a day walking round the trafford centre. Don't waste your time or money. For the same price I was able to transfer to a hilton hotel a short 10 minute taxi ride away. The difference was literally night and day. Customer service is everything, get some!!!
