About Milton Manchester Hotel
Step into a room at the Milton Manchester Hotel and you get a straightforward, modern setup: en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, and drinks available in the room, with family and accessible rooms on offer for those who need them. Room service is available too, so there's no need to leave for a quiet night in.
The hotel itself sits on Sentinel House Block B, Peel Street, in Greater Manchester, with free on-site parking a useful bonus in a city where that's not always easy to come by. Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar, free WiFi throughout, a lift for getting between floors, and luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures. Breakfast is served on site and has proved a highlight for many staying here, while the layout of the building and the lifts has occasionally left guests looking for clearer signage.
Beyond the doors, the location works well for getting around Manchester, with public transport links close by along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, plus a golf course for those wanting to fit in a round. Staff have been noted as friendly and the overall stay considered good value for the price.

What guests say
Could not fault the cleanliness of the bedroom, the staff in their level of friendliness or the price. Negatives - There is little to no signage inside to explain where to go. The building is multi usage, and it's not that welcoming when you arrive as a hotel guest. Without the sign outside, you could easily think you were in the wrong place. The main hallway/lift areas also had an unpleasant smell. - If you are a wheelchair user, or have mobility needs, I cannot see how it would be possible to stay here. The lifts for the building stop between hotel floors, meaning you have to go up or down 8 to 10 stairs to access the hotel reception, breakfast area and bedrooms. There may be arrangements to get around this, or a specific floor that has a stair lift access to bedroom sublevel, if you had an access need, but I didn't see any evidence of this or notice it being mentioned when I booked the room. - The mattress was quite soft - it felt like this was because the mattress was old, not that it was soft on purpose. - The pillows were very thin. - There was no air conditioning system in the room, and while the windows did open, it was then quite noisy. - Feels like a strange one, but there are no teaspoons in the room with the tea and coffee making facilities, just wooden stirrers. Positives + Bathroom in the room was nicely done, felt like a new renovation + Shower pressure was good and temperature was consistent + Staff were friendly Overall, while the hotel is in a good location to get into central Manchester, and is a really good price, I would prefer to pay more for better facilities.

Stayed one night as we're going to a concert at the AO Arena. On first sight, I thought OMG what have I done...but pleasantly surprised with how nice reception was. The member of staff who dealt with our check-in was pleasant. We were given a room on the 14th floor, OK if you don't mind heights. But upon exiting the lift, there were no signs to direct you to where the rooms were...guess work. As others have mentioned, the lifts do not correlate with the actual floor you need and have to use stairs, not good with luggage. The room itself was large. The bed was two divans pushed together, but the mattress was comfy, but with the bed being so large, it was difficult to get out of bed. The pillows were too flat for a restful sleep. Again, to get to the restaurant for breakfast, you had to go to level 2 but then back up a flight of stairs to actually get to the restaurant. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Parking was £2 a night, which is extremely good value, as I have paid extortionate prices in other hotels. Would I stay here again.... yes. Don't be put off by the exterior of the building or it's location.

Due to traffic I was totally late for check in but the staff were lovely and still got me in, the place is massive and when I got to my room It was spotless. The room was simply immaculate, no dirt or dust and very spacious, the bed was tidy and comfortable. There was coffee and tea stuff to help yourself to, a phone if i need any assistance and the view was lovely, the scape of Eccles looked like stars, bathroom was also amazing. Honestly it's the nicest place I've stayed in a while, I book a lot of hotels for trips and this was one I couldn't fault at all. I'd definitely stay again and will be adding it to my favourites!

It's not too bad for an overnight stay. Mattress was slightly soft, but for 1 night, it's fine. The bathroom was probably the best I've come across in budget breaks. The bedroom does have a kettle and complimentary tea and coffee. Location isn't too bad. Cosmetically, it doesn't look the most appealing from the outside. Once you get inside, the checking in isn't the best either. Overall, you can't go wrong for the price you pay.

Some guests say this hotel offers clean rooms, friendly staff, and great value for the price, with a convenient location near public transportation and a tasty breakfast.
Other reviews mention the lifts can be confusing and there can be a lack of signage.
