About Wheathill Field
This tiny working farm site in the Welland Valley offers just a handful of pitches across 100 acres of gently rolling Leicestershire farmland. Campers have free rein to explore the whole property, including a curious patch of rare Ice Age grasses on steep banks a five-minute stroll from your pitch. The level, well-kept grass pitches suit wider vehicles and touring vans easily, and dogs are welcome year-round. Serious walkers can pick up the Jurassic Way directly from site for longer rambles into the countryside.
Market Harborough lies less than 10 minutes away by car, handy for independent shops, cafés and a spacious park with play areas and a dog exercise field. A sports centre with pool, gym and tennis courts is also open to visitors. The warm rural welcome and sweeping valley views earn consistently glowing praise, though with so few pitches you'll need to book well ahead in high season.
