Excellent museum with two very informative videos. Staff was so nice. Good for adults or kids. As a big history nerd, really enjoyed the walking tour of the Trimontium site- my tour guide was so nice and well-informed. Highly recommend to visit the museum for an hour or so to learn about the Roman presence in Scotland. I didn't know there was a significant presence north of Hadrian's Wall.

If you like the Romans in British history this is well worth a trip. The museum staff are very well informed and very friendly. It isn't the biggest museum but packed with fascinating exhibits.

The artefacts in the museum are amazing.. The way they were discovered was also amazing,, with the knowledge there is much more to discover. We thoroughly enjoyed the VR experience. It was so intriguing, informative, realistic and beautifully presented, bringing the reality of the Roman soldiers way of life and propose to life. I highly recommend this experience. The auditorium is not very big so it may be advisable to book your ticket and time slot in advance. We were also treated to an in depth talk about the excavations and the plans to reveal much more in the coming years.
