The Milk Place is a detached barn conversion on a working farm just outside Melton Mowbray, designed for couples wanting a rural base without compromising on comfort. Everything you need for a self-catering stay is provided: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included in the price. Parking for one car is on site, and the property is non-smoking.
The layout is straightforward. Downstairs, a living room with electric log burner opens onto a kitchen fitted with an oven, hob, microwave and fridge-freezer, plus a breakfast bar. There's also a small sheltered seating area outside under the barn. Upstairs is a double bedroom (4ft 6in bed) with an ensuite shower room and heated towel rail. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking—breakfast or evening meals, or packed lunches before heading out for the day.
The surrounding countryside offers immediate access to walking and cycling routes. Rutland Water is nearby for water sports and nature watching, Belvoir Castle is close by, and the gardens at Barnsdale and several country parks make good day trips. Market towns including Oakham, Stamford and Grantham are within reach. The nearest pub and restaurant are about 1¼ miles away; shops are roughly 9 miles distant.

Was a little disappointing tbh. Nice enough and plenty of room, and nice and clean. But place is tired and I expected a lot better for the price. Log fire in kitchen smoked out the bedroom above it. Oven and kitchen appliances are run down and old.

A fabulous place to get away from it all.
