The Stables is a converted stable near Melton Mowbray, sleeping two in a single ground-floor bedroom with en-suite bathroom. You arrive at a stable-style front door and step into an open-plan space where the kitchen, dining area and living room flow together, anchored by a woodburner between the dining and sitting zones. The double bed is a 4ft 6in frame; the bathroom has a bath with shower over it and a heated towel rail.
The kitchen is fully fitted for cooking—electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and coffee machine are all there. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are covered; the woodburner's initial fuel is included too. A welcome pack arrives with you. Bi-fold doors open from the living area onto a patio with garden furniture and a sitting area, all enclosed. There is parking for two cars on site. One pet can stay free of charge. No smoking inside.
The village of Sproxton lies a short distance from Melton Mowbray. A pub is within walking distance, and the countryside around offers room to explore.

We booked to stay at The Stables, and we weren't disappointed. Claire and Kevin are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. For us it was like home away from home which was not only brilliant for us but for our 16 month old who was also made to feel most welcome. The bed is super comfy, the shower pressure means for a relaxing shower and the continental breakfast has lots to offer. The stables has everything you could possibly need and we can't wait to stay again soon.

Lovely quiet location Hidden from the main road, court yard setting, but not overlooked, well stocked fridge, selection of breakfast cereals and toast Definitely make a return journey Super pub, a few minutes walk, with a good menu and quality food

Super, self-contained accommodation, beautifully appointed and clean. Extremely comfortable bed. Hosts very welcoming and accommodating. Would definitely return.

Amazing find, hosts were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The stable is self contained and beautifully finished, a fabulous stay in lovely surroundings, would definitely recommend.
