What visitors say
Beautiful day out with family. We got to see Thomas , Percy , diesel and few others. Basically it was Day with Thomas and Friends. At first we thought we would able get pictures closely with Thomas and friends but it wasn’t. There were lots of parking spaces, picnic areas, tasty ice cream. Enough toilets, accessible for disabled people, Fun, and enjoyable day out.

Love this railway. Only issue with a Sunday is unless you've booked a meal there was no catering and the day I went the day before they set fire to a farmers field so diesel only, but that just means more good looke at the steam shed! Reasonable day rover price compared to others and of course it's an easy day out from London with the main line connection at Alton

We went on The Watercress Line as a family as I was visiting my Grandchildren from South Africa, and my son won tickets for his family. It was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The kids (aged 4 and 1) loved it as well. We packed a picnic, and just as well as most things were closed along the line. The staff are incredibly friendly and willing to assist wherever possible. The only negative is there was nothing open after the Alresford station. It was a bit like visiting ghost towns. The little shop at Alresford had a few goods for sale, but definitely make sure to take everything you need with you.

Really enjoyed our trip to see the flying Scotsman at ropely station. Not been before but highly recommend it. There's a camp site adjacent to the station and catering. The viewing area is free to access and offers a great view of the whole station and yard.
