Chestnut Cottage

Chestnut Cottage is a detached property set on six acres of natural woodland in a quiet corner of Mid Suffolk. The entire cottage is yours alone, though you'll share the gravelled courtyard and woodland grounds with the owner's home. A private sitting area with garden furniture and a barbecue offers a separate space to relax, and the grounds include a lake just a hundred yards away.

Everything is on the ground floor: an open-plan living space with a kitchen, dining area and lounge, plus two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and a shower room. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine, so you can cook proper meals. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. There's private parking for two cars on site, and a pub is within a mile.

The location works well for exploring both Norfolk and Suffolk—Bury Saint Edmunds is close by, as are Diss and the Waveney Valley. The Suffolk Heritage Coast and inland attractions like Thetford Forest are within easy reach. Children under 12 are not able to stay, and the cottage is non-smoking. Check-in is after 3pm; check-out before 10am.
