Within a short drive sit the Norfolk coastline, the Broads, Norwich, and Sutton Hoo to the north; the landscapes that inspired Constable to the south; Newmarket and Cambridge to the west; and the Suffolk heritage coast to the east. Diss, a market town with restaurants, shops and a mainline train station, is 4.5 miles away. The cottage itself stands on the edge of the common, where walking trails begin on your doorstep—the main draw for anyone wanting to step straight out into open countryside.
Indoors, everything is on the ground floor: a combined living and dining space with a wood-burning stove, a kitchenette with electric hob and combination microwave-oven, and a bedroom with a king bed. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. French doors open to a terrace where you can sit; beyond that is shared access to the owner's large garden with an unfenced pond. One dog stays free. Bed linen, towels, WiFi and heating are included; bring whatever else you need to cook. Parking is on site for two cars, though access is via a rough track.
