About Estuary View Escapes
Sitting on the shores of the pretty Duddon Estuary at the old Millom Pier shipping quay, Estuary View Escapes delivers exactly what its name promises: a simple motorhome site where the scenery does all the talking. Far-ranging vistas sweep over ever-changing sands and tides, while turning around reveals the hills and fells of the southern Lake District rising behind you. Guests highlight the spacious hardstanding pitches, each with a picnic bench, and direct access to a dog-friendly beach that makes this peaceful spot a haven for four-legged friends.
Facilities are admirably straightforward—spotless portaloos, fresh water taps, grey waste disposal, and a chemical point—but visitors consistently praise how well-maintained everything is. The laidback atmosphere suits couples, families, and walkers seeking a remote, wildlife-rich base with barbecues allowed and a genuine sense of escape.
Millom town centre sits just a mile away for shops, takeaways and a handy railway station, while The Devonshire pub is a 10–15 minute stroll. It's low on frills but big on views—and sometimes that's all you need.

What visitors say
Found Estuary View Escapes by chance when looking for somewhere to park up for the night. So glad we did! Booked for one night, ended up staying for 3. Louise is extremely approachable and helpful. Portaloos on site are the cleanest I have ever seen, cleaner than some toilets on other sites. They've also been "prettied up" with some nice touches. Views are incredible, even through all the rain! Each pitch has it's own picnic table and benches. Last, but not least, it's a dog's paradise; less than 5 minute to the beach. We didn't use it, but there is a dog friendly pub just up from the site and the local chippies deliver. We're going again later this year.

Fantastic, no frills site the views are what make this site a 5*. Louise is one of loveliest warden ( owner ) we have met on a campsite. No showers so would need your own facilities. However, toilets and they were spotlessly clean. Each pitch as their own picnic bench. Pub within walking distance. Beach accessible from the site and a very short walk to reach. Perfect 🤩 10/10

What a real hidden gem! This place doesn't have a 'site' feel – it's so peaceful, relaxed and beautifully located on the coast. The owners are lovely and attentive, and the facilities are excellent, including the cleanest portaloos we've ever used! EHU optional. Haverigg is an easy walk away and well worth a visit. A fantastic base in a truly underrated part of the South Lake District. LOVED IT!

Lovely quite site with fantastic helpful owners. 5 pitches with electric hook up. 1 or 2 with no hook up. All look out to the estuary. Sll have their own picnic bench. You are allowed a BBQ. No showers but they do how very posh portaloos that smelt amazing. Fresh water taps, grey waste and loo waste disposal point.🙂. Plenty walking from the site and you can get a take away delivered if you can't be bothered cooking. We will definitely be back to stay again
