What guests say
Queen Room Parking- the hotel has no parking. If you use their code, given at check in, the parking is reduced from about £40 per day to £10 per day. Room - Queen Room: Facilities were good, the room was spacious and the self care products (Crabtree & Evelyn) are top notch. Tea and coffee available. You're offered warm cookies on arrival, subject to allergies. Staff- were polite and very helpful both in person and on the phone. Location: The hotel is near to a cinema, shops and restaurants, so there is a variety right on your door step. Food - Room service of battered fish and chips was ordered. The batter was slightly burnt, The taste was good overall as well as the presentation. Breakfast was continental and in my opinion mediocre. There wasn't anything tasty, seemed run of the mill - toast, pastries, poached egg (the yolk being fully cooked cannot be individualised), yoghurt, fruit, sausage, bacon, etc - a lot to have but bland, like it's bulk ordered. Room Location: lf walking is a challenge, book a room near to the lift. Remember it is built around a football pitch. I quickly got my steps in, with the distance to get to the room to the foyer lift and back.

Lovely room and hotel with pleasant and friendly staff. The location is a little outside Milton Keynes within the MK Dons Stadium. Price was inexpensive for a higher end hotel. Gym suite is well equipped. Breakfast was very good.

This was our second stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Milton Keynes and, if anything, it was even better than the first. The location works perfectly for us when visiting family in London, and the hotel itself is modern, comfortable and well equipped. We stayed in a family room with two double beds and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. Even with two adults and two teenagers (17 and 14), there was still plenty of room for everyone to relax. One thing that made us smile was finding our way around the hotel. We seemed to spend a fair bit of time walking around the stadium trying to find our room and the restaurant. To be fair, exactly the same thing happened on our first visit, so that’s definitely on us rather than the hotel! Walking what feels like two laps of a football pitch might seem a little extreme, but we took it in good humour. We ate out in the evening, but breakfast the next morning was absolutely fantastic. A freshly cooked full English, plenty of pastries, fresh fruit and lots of other options meant there was something for everyone. Everything was well stocked, fresh and very enjoyable. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming and happy to help whenever needed, which made the whole stay feel relaxed and enjoyable. We’ve had two great stays here now and wouldn’t hesitate to return. In fact, my youngest is already talking about becoming an MK Dons fan just so he has an excuse to come back and stay here for match days!

The location is a real positive — convenient and easy to access, which suited our plans well. The staff were also mostly pleasant. However, the stay itself was let down by noise issues. I would strongly advise avoiding room 3236. It is located next to a large mechanical vent which runs throughout the night and is loud, making it difficult to sleep. On the second night, there was also loud music from an event. While it’s understandable that hotels host celebrations, the bass caused the doors and walls in the room to vibrate. This meant that across both nights, sleep was heavily disrupted. When you’re travelling with family and have busy days planned, a good night’s rest is essential — and this simply wasn’t possible. The hotel did offer a 20% discount on the bill, which was appreciated as a gesture. However, I would have preferred to pay the full amount and have a proper night’s sleep, as the core service expected from a hotel room wasn’t delivered. Overall, despite the good location and pleasant staff, the noise issues had a significant impact on our stay and for that reason I can’t recommend this hotel.
