About WorldHotels Distinctive Woughton House Hotel
WorldHotels Distinctive Woughton House Hotel occupies a period manor-style building spread across two floors, giving it a character quite different from the usual roadside chains around Milton Keynes. The house sits beside Ouzel Valley Park, with gardens and a picnic area making the most of the setting, while free on-site parking and quick access to the M1 suit anyone passing through as much as those stopping for longer.
The 51 rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and room service, and family rooms are available alongside an adults-only section for those wanting a quieter stay. Guests can eat in the restaurant or snack bar, have drinks brought to the room, and make use of laundry and concierge services, plus meeting rooms and business facilities for those working while away. Breakfast is included as part of the offer, and free WiFi runs throughout.
Outside, walking routes, fishing and golf are all within reach, and there are pubs, bars and restaurants nearby for evenings out. Pets are welcome, and luggage storage is on hand for early arrivals or late departures. It's a straightforward, well-equipped base for exploring Milton Keynes or breaking a journey off the M1.

A lovely hotel in beautiful setting. The service was superb - I felt very welcome and was looked after for the whole stay. The room was fine but I just had a couple of issues...a shower head that wouldn't point anywhere except at the wall unless you held it, and no sockets by the bedside. I'll be back because it's been two great stays, but not quite 5 stars all round.

The area and location of the hotel was just perfect. Initially we were pleased as we were told our room had been upgraded. However, the room was quite shabby. There was a flashing faulty LED in the bathroom which was actually hanging out of the ceiling by its wires. The shower thermostat did not work and the water was scalding hot. There were 100+ conference delegates and a hen-do going on for the weekend and it was clear that staff levels were woefully inadequate. Staff were lovely and tried to please but were too thinly spread. The evening meal was really poor. We had an unremarkable prawn and chorizo starter that came with a slice of bread. Very poorly presented. Two of our 5 strong group had the lamb shank and although some effort was made to present it well it was also unremarkable and quite bland. We also had to wait a long time for it so it wasn’t very hot. The beef tagine chosen by two of our party was really unattractive and poorly presented with no vegetables. They said it tasted ok but not great quality. The couple on the table next to us were also unhappy and sent their steaks back which they reported to be ‘inedible’. We had a good nights sleep. Breakfast the next morning was good except the coffee machine had very few options and broke down repeatedly. I couldn’t find any staff to help me for some time. So overall not great though the staff were lovely and tried hard against inadequate standards and resources.

Extremely disappointed that I’d booked this for my parents 26th anniversary. It’s been a shocking year and thought i’d surprise them with an overnight stay for their anniversary. They left the restaurant without having eaten dinner due to the wait time. Disappointed is an understatement. Adding on this morning, they’ve found some lovely crotchless underwear in their room! Fantastic! I would recommend someone get in touch for a refund considering clearly the nights team hadn’t passed on the awful experience to the morning team! Nice venue with such a lack of service experience

UPDATE: I was there with my young children. Clearly having a quick coffee. I was threatened with a parking ticket and was informed that it will be issued by your GM who was monitoring your CC TV cameras! You talk about respect. Where is the respect in that? Sorry it came across abrupt??? It was clearly Aggressive, intimidating & legally not possible to issue me with a parking ticket! ********************************************** What a fall from grace - Pre Covid this hotel was beautiful and teeming off life It then transformed into accommodation for asylum seekers Now it’s run by a management consultancy - same!!!! Like a ghost town - it’s deserted Popped in for a quick coffee, the management consultant asked me to move my car from the drop off area and threatened me with a parking ticket if not moved What!!!!! The hotel is deserted - my car was the only one onsite & no signage regarding parking restrictions & fines!!! At least I was not drowned by PowerPoint presentations from these management consultants Typical management consultants - no idea about the industry & very good at making themselves look busy & efficient
