About Charleton Farm
Charleton Farm offers two self-catering cottages on a working farm at the edge of Montrose: the Laundry Cottage, sleeping up to six across three bedrooms with two bathrooms and separate living and dining space, and the smaller Wee Cottage, sleeping four with a double and a twin bedroom and its own private garden.
Both cottages have been sympathetically modernised from traditional farm buildings, keeping their original character while adding modern kitchens, luxury showers and, for an extra charge, private hot tubs. Electric vehicle charging is available on site, and guests can make use of the farm's own cafe and leisure facilities during their stay.
Pets are welcome for a small additional fee, and the farm setting gives visitors an easy, independent base just outside Montrose, combining the privacy of self-catering with the option of a cafe on the doorstep and the town's beach, basin and High Street only a few minutes away by car.

The restaurant was absolutely amazing - great choices for all dietary requirements and the food was good value for money. We really enjoyed the berry picking - I would note that it’s not always on to give the fruits a chance to grow back so worthwhile checking in advance. We didn’t get to see the animals as we were too late, but that’s our fault for not checking!

Lovely setting, great coffee and food. Thr best strawberries I've ever tasted. Fantastic playback with ice cream kiosk attached. All good but could do with more signs from car park to Cafe etc.

One of the best places to visit in the east coast! As two adults and a dog we worried that there might not be lots for us to do without children but we were here for over two and half hours - we had an amazing breakfast, took the dog for a lovely walk round the fields and then one of picked strawberries while the other walked round with the dog. Couldn’t recommend it more, even the shop is wonderful and the staff are great!
