Sweet Hope

Sweet Hope is a ground-floor cottage in a quiet location at the edge of St Cyrus, where the landscape shifts between wooded slopes, cliffside, and beach. Everything is on one level: a bright living room with picture windows and a woodburner, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms (two doubles and a single), and one bathroom. The property sleeps five and comes with Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating included. One dog stays free.

The real draw here is the setting. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views across the garden to the cliffs and sea beyond, and the enclosed lawn—planted with mature trees—catches the sun for most of the day. From the garden, you can walk down to St Cyrus beach itself, where the shoreline offers sightings of porpoises and seabirds; the clifftop and dunes form a National Nature Reserve rich with peregrine falcons, fulmars, deer and rare plants. Binoculars are provided. The cottage is within reach of village shops, a café and a hotel, and close enough to both Montrose and Stonehaven for a day out. The Angus Glens lie inland for longer walks. There is private parking for two cars, and the owners supply a travel cot and highchair.
