About Hillside Hotel & Restaurant
The Hillside Hotel & Restaurant is a small, family-run inn in the village of Hillside, around three miles outside Montrose, offering eight en-suite bedrooms across single, double, twin and family configurations. Its rural setting gives guests a quieter alternative to staying in the town itself, while remaining a short drive from the beach, basin and High Street.
An on-site restaurant and bar serve meals throughout the week, and a recently refreshed beer garden gives the hotel an outdoor space to enjoy in good weather. Dogs are welcome in all rooms for a small additional charge, and free parking is provided for all guests.
The combination of village peace, a proper restaurant and bar on site, and easy access to Montrose makes the Hillside a good fit for visitors who want a rural edge to their stay without sacrificing anywhere to eat and drink once they have parked the car for the evening.
