Forres sits on the edge of Moray's countryside, within reach of the Spey valley and the Cairngorms beyond. Alves is a detached lodge set back into 28 acres of private woodland a few minutes' drive from the town, offering genuine seclusion without isolation—you have your own grounds to explore, but shops and restaurants are close by.
The lodge is ground-floor throughout, accessed via three steps. It holds two bedrooms—a double and a twin—and a bathroom with a bath and shower. The main living space is open plan: a sitting area with a woodburner and Smart TV opens into a dining space and kitchen where you can cook properly. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with electricity and heating. There's a laundry room with washing machines and dryers available, shared with other properties on the site. Outside, you have a private patio with garden furniture and parking for two cars.
The woodland itself is the draw: walking trails run through the grounds, and there are sitting areas dotted about. One small lochan is fenced for safety. Up to two dogs stay free, making this a natural choice for anyone wanting to bring a pet and have space to exercise it. The lodge does not permit smoking.
