🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Ben Aigan

Photo: Sean Williamson

Ben Aigan is a single-storey pod where everything unfolds on one level. Walk through the door into a unified living space—kitchen flowing into dining area, then the main living room—with glass doors opening onto your own decking. A double bedroom and shower room complete the layout, designed to feel surprisingly open rather than cramped despite sleeping four.

The kitchen is fully fitted: electric hob, combi microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer mean you can cook properly rather than make do. In the living area, a sofa bed and separate double bedroom give flexibility, and smart TVs in both rooms keep everyone entertained. Outside, the main draw is the private hot tub for four, positioned where you can soak and look out across Moray's landscape. A BBQ house and garden furniture complete the outdoor setup. Parking for two cars sits on the property, and an EV charging point is available. Essentials like Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included. A travel cot and highchair are on hand if needed.

Keith village lies three miles away with pubs and restaurants. The countryside around here supports fishing, golf, mountain biking and walking, with the coast fourteen miles south. No smoking indoors.

Great hike up a hill on Moray with amazing views at the top! Make sure not to get lost on the way back down

Really enjoyed this walk, got some very wintry conditions & deep snow but would do it again any time. Parking at the bottom of the hill was easy to find / get to.

Good short day walk or MTB, forestry road 3/4 of the way swings up and around via the summit of Knock More (TV mast) then either follow the older road to the summit or continue on the new road to a dead end and follow the path that runs NW to the summit (links in with the other routes to th summit). If you are walking you can cut out the summit of Knock More keep an eye out for a path that follows a deer fence through the trees on your left.

What a lovely walk this morning. The weather was not the best one but overally good. Very windy at the top but view was very nice from there. Definitely recommend to take good walking boots because can be muddy at times.
