Straw Bale Cabins - Honeysuckle Bale Cabin
Moray
View on Google MapsHoneysuckle Bale Cabin is a detached straw bale cabin on a working farm in Moray, where guests have the whole place to themselves. The single bedroom contains a three-quarter double bed and a three-foot bunk bed, making it suitable for families or small groups of up to four people. Everything is on the ground floor: an open-plan living space with a kitchen (gas hob, combi microwave and grill, fridge), a shower cubicle and toilet. There's no television, but wi-fi is available, heating is electric, and bed linen and towels are provided.
The property has its own enclosed garden and parking for one car. Children have access to a shared play area and games room on-site; a highchair is available if needed. The farm itself is home to Highland cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, wallabies, emus and water buffalo. An honesty shack sells farm produce—meat, seasonal vegetables, honey, apple juice and barbecue supplies. The nearest shop is Thorabella Farmshop. No smoking is permitted inside.
Moray offers the Speyside Whisky Trail and access to Cairngorms National Park for hiking. The setting is rural and quiet, suited to those seeking a farm-based break rather than village facilities or nightlife nearby.
