Straw Bale Cabins - Primrose Bale Cabin
Moray
Moray's countryside draws visitors for the Speyside whisky distilleries, the Cairngorms just beyond, and increasingly for its farms offering something different. Straw Bale Cabins - Primrose Bale Cabin sits on a working farm where guests wake to the presence of Highland cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, ducks, chickens, emus, wallabies and water buffalo. The single bedroom holds a three-quarter double bed and bunk beds, sleeping four; there is one shower room. An open-plan ground-floor space combines living and kitchen areas, with a gas hob, combi microwave-oven, and fridge for self-catering. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, linen and towels are all included. The cabin is detached with its own enclosed garden and parking for one car.
Children have access to a play area and games room shared with other properties on the site. Adults can settle with a drink while the animals go about their day, or help themselves to farm produce from the on-site honesty shack - meat, seasonal vegetables, honey, apple juice, charcoal and logs. Beyond the farm, Moray opens onto serious whisky country along the Speyside trail, and the Cairngorms are a short drive for hiking and spotting red deer. No smoking inside. One pet is welcome.
