Cottage

You enter Cottage into an open-plan ground floor that runs from living space through to the kitchen, with patio doors opening onto decking and a garden where a dog can move freely. A wood-burner anchors the living area; the kitchen is fitted for proper cooking with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and all the basics. On this floor too is a kingsize bedroom and a bathroom with both bath and separate shower cubicle. Upstairs, a double and a twin bedroom complete the sleeping arrangement for six.

The cottage sits on the Isle of Lewis within a mile of the coast, positioned to look out towards St Kilda across the croft land. One dog stays free and should be kept on a lead—this is sheep country. Electricity, bed linen, towels and initial logs for the wood-burner are included, along with a welcome pack. Parking for three cars is on site. The local beaches are within reach, and from here you can walk to the sea cliffs at Mangersta, where the dramatic rock formations face the Atlantic. No smoking inside.
