Gramsdale House

Benbecula's landscape of moorland, crofts and coastal edges draws birdwatchers and walkers year-round. Gramsdale House sits on a family croft in the village, a ground-floor property with everything on one level. Two bedrooms sleep four; a shower room serves the cottage. The open-plan living space includes a kitchen fitted with electric cooking, dishwasher and washing machine, plus a wood-burning stove for warmth. Patio doors open onto a decking area facing the surrounding land—the main reason to stay here is access to that view and the quiet it brings.

The Outer Hebrides are known for wading birds, and Balranald Nature Reserve is within reach for birdwatchers. Traigh Mhor and other beaches support long walks and beachcombing. A short ferry from nearby Ardmhor reaches Barra and Kisimul Castle. On the water, kayaking and paddleboarding are possible in calmer conditions. Parking for four cars is on site. Wifi and heating are included; bring or hire everything else you need to cook and stay. The cottage does not accept smokers.
