What visitors say
Hello, I am a Korean traveling across the UK participating in martial arts competitions. I have visited many cathedrals, but this is the first time I have seen one with such a long nave. It is a truly magnificent place. You can see how the Bible was written, and various exhibits ranging from the early Anglo-Saxon Christian history to the modern era are displayed on the upper floors. I brought a gaming device and played Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which gave me a fun time comparing Old minster from the Viking invasion era with the current cathedral. Also, the guides treated us kindly, and we shared interesting stories about history. Thank you so much!

Beautiful cathedral which is definitely worth a visit. Tickets can be paid at the door or online, and give you 12 months access after that. Nice exhibition upstairs on Kings and the Cathedral itself. We were lucky to enjoy our visit whilst listening to the organ being played. Dog friendly.

We stayed at the University of Winchester for an English course periods late June - early July, and we decided to give this wonderful and beautiful Cathedral a visit. We loved how the church was built, and the inside as well. It had an accessible machine for people in a wheelchair that cannot walk up the stairs!

Visited Winchester Cathedral today and honestly just felt really grounded being there. There’s something powerful about standing in a place where people have come for centuries carrying hope, grief, prayer and gratitude. It makes you pause for a moment and remember we’re all just passing through time together. A very peaceful, uplifting and somehow at the same time humbling place. ✨ The tour provided by the staff was fascinating and was excellent.
