Step through the door of Bosun's Locker and you enter a three-storey Georgian cottage arranged vertically. The ground floor holds the kitchen and dining space, equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Upstairs, the bedroom contains a double bed with an ensuite shower room. On the top floor sits the living room with a television and electric fire for cooler evenings.

The cottage stands in Lymington's historic quarter, looking out across the harbour toward the nature reserve and the Solent; Isle of Wight visible on clear days. The town itself clusters around the Georgian streets and quay—independent shops, restaurants and pubs are within walking distance, and a Saturday market has operated here for centuries. A pub stands just 15 yards away. Boat trips depart from the quay to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight, and the New Forest spreads inland for walking and cycling. Exbury Gardens, Beaulieu House and Motor Museum, and the beaches at Mudeford and Highcliffe are accessible day trips.
