Silverland

Four acres of fields and gardens surround Silverland, a detached thatched cottage deep in the New Forest with no near neighbours. The village setting puts you within reach of the national park's woodland walks, the coast, and the quieter stretches of Hampshire countryside that make this region distinct from busier parts of southern England.

Seven bedrooms across three floors sleep 14 people—a mix of double, kingsize and single beds, most with their own shower or bath. Downstairs there is a living room with an open fire, a dining room, a kitchen with an Aga for cooking, and a games room stocked with books and toys. The enclosed garden wraps around the house with a patio, barbecue and lawn; beyond that lies the focal point for summer stays, a heated outdoor swimming pool (heated June through August). Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; one dog stays free.

The cottage suits large family groups or friends gathering together. It is not available for stag or hen parties. Check-in is after 5pm and checkout before 10am. Smoking is not permitted inside.
