What visitors say
We have just got home from a lovely weekend at KMF campsite and could not be more pleased with our stay. Myself and my partner were looking for a campsite to rent out in full for a weekend for a joint hen and stag party, we wanted the whole place as we planned on having some games and activities that we didn’t want to be a nuisance with to other people staying. Having put the feelers out it’s safe to say most places were not exactly keen to have a hen and stag party at their campsite which I sort of expected, but from as soon as I sent the first email to Paul and Gillian to gauge their interest they made us feel welcome. We booked well in advance so I had a fair few questions in the lead up which they were always swift to answer. They were present on arrival and gave us the full tour of all the animals, and what ground we had to work with for our tents/marquee etc, they set us up with the bbq/firepits and let us know to just drop a text or call if we needed anything. Over the weekend we played our games, and I occasionally dropped a text over the ask for more firewood, or something from their fridges we had stored and they were always super quick to answer. They offered us more hot chocolates when the weather took a cold turn, and had even put out some mr/mrs decorations and balloons for us. We had a lovely walk with the alpacas and fed the sheep as part of the group booking and learned all about them which we loved. On departure Paul and Gillian both popped across to say goodbye and gave us a bird feeder filled with alpaca wool for birds nests with a lovely little personalised note in for our stay. We had the shepherds hut as part of our booking which was so cosy! And also the bell tent which was great to use as a communal area. Overall I cannot rate this place enough, the site is in a beautiful location, the camping pitches are massive and well spread out, and the hosts are some of the best I have ever encountered for any stay anywhere! Thank you very much again Paul and Gillian, we had a lovely time.

We had a lovely stay. Pitches are spread out which gives a sense of privacy, and it is a very peaceful place to be. Paul and Gillian are top hosts and really work hard to provide any information that’s needed, and to ensure a comfortable site with a commitment to the environment. The composting toilets are great (please look up how to use them if you’re not familiar) and the showers work brilliantly. As well as Kirkharle Courtyard, the campsite is ideally located for a parkrun, some National Trust treasures, and lovely walks - including Hadrian’s Wall. We hope to return!

Had such a good experience camping here, it’s a very private campsite with great facilities and everything is done with being sustainable and eco-friendly in mind. Plus they have the friendliest alpacas! Paul and Gillian are doing a fantastic job and really welcoming to their campsite. I’d highly recommend if you’re looking to camp somewhere in Northumberland!

This campsite is by far one of the best I've been to. A group of friends and I stayed and loved our time here. The owners were so lovely and helpful and the views were amazing. The facilities were clean and tidy as well as the fields in general. The alpacas were adorable and so friendly and it was just overall an amazing trip for us. A really nice, quiet and cozy campsite, Honestly couldn't recommend it more, I'll definitely be back in the summer :))
