Squirrel Lodge

The Otterburn Estate spreads across 500 acres of woodland laced with walking trails and nature reserves. Squirrel Lodge sits on this land, within reach of the historic village of Otterburn and close enough to Le Petit Château for wedding guests. An onsite restaurant and bar means evening meals are sorted without leaving the grounds.

The lodge itself has four bedrooms and one bathroom across two floors. Downstairs: a living room and kitchen opening onto a raised deck with a private six-person hot tub, plus two single bedrooms and the bathroom. Upstairs: a double bedroom and a three-quarter double. The kitchen is fully fitted for self-catering, with electric cooking and a dishwasher. Wifi, heating, bed linen and towels are included. One dog or cat can stay at no extra cost. There is parking for three cars on site, and a shared tennis court nearby.

The deck faces woodland, and the property sits near enough to the Dark Sky Park to see the night sky clearly. Red squirrels are known to visit the grounds. The lodge suits families, groups of friends or people attending events in the area, and anyone who wants to walk and cycle without driving far.
