About Heroesbunkz

Grainger Street sits in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, close to bars, restaurants and entertainment, with a golf course also nearby for those who fancy a change of pace. Heroesbunkz occupies a three-storey building here, offering a simple, practical base for groups and budget travellers rather than a polished city hotel.

Rooms are en suite and fitted with bunk beds, with family rooms available and configurations sleeping up to nine guests, making it a sensible option for larger parties or friends travelling together. Free WiFi is provided throughout, and a 24 hour reception means arrivals and departures are never restricted to office hours. Luggage storage is also available, useful for anyone exploring before check-in or after checking out.

The setting puts guests within easy reach of Newcastle's pubs, restaurants and eateries, as well as the city's wider entertainment scene, all reachable on foot from the door. It's a straightforward, no-nonsense stay suited to those who want a central bed and bunk-style rooms without extra frills.

I can hand on heart say this has got to be the worst place I have ever stayed. If you could look past the fact that there was no curtains, no door handle on the bathroom door and no door on the shower. However the room is grimy the mattresses are disgusting dirty, there is one plug socket for 5 people. Getting into the room is like some kind of escape room challenge with needing 3 different codes by the time you get to your room. Yes it’s in the centre but so are benches.

Great location for exploring the night life on offer. The rooms felt secure as each door had a code to enter. Bed was clean and ok for a night or two. Floor was a bit dirty though but maybe that was just our room. It's basic but a great price all the same

If I could give it zero stars I would. This is the worst place I've ever stayed in. The beds were covered in paint where they hadn't been covered and the walls painted, the shower is the worst I've ever used, and I've showered in fields. The door locks barely work, the floor is scratched and ruined to all hell, the bathroom door doesn't close properly because the door trim isn't properly attached.
