Avril and Angus both made us feel very welcome and provided us with great support for our time, 4 days. The room was excellent, our breakfasts were first class, and selection of teas, drinks and snacks in our room was lovely. We do not think we have stayed in a better BnB anywhere, WORLD CLASS. We would both highly recommend to anyone staying within reach of Newcastle, we would go again, if we could

My partner and I came up for the recent Sam Fender gig! Avril and Angus were incredible hosts. We were pleasantly surprised how beautifully presented this BnB was. Avril and Angus obviously pay attention to the littlest of details. Avril even catered for my girlfriend’s lactose intolerance. Parking was easy and was a short and easy walk into the toon!! All the little chocolates, biscuits, drinkers, shampoos, body washes were amazing too. We wanted for nothing!! Had a lovely breakfast and upon leaving had a nice little chat too! We would go so far to say it was absolutist perfect!!!!

I think this might be the best place I've ever stayed! This was an amazing place to stay after me and my friend walked Hadrian's Wall in a week. The room was beautiful, the bathroom was clean and fresh. They provide free toiletries which were lovely. The hosts are some of the nicest people I've met, with nothing being to much trouble. My breakfast was the best I'd had all holiday, with fresh bread, fruit, yoghurts, a toaster and freshly squeezed orange juice! They offer other breakfasts too, but this was perfect for me. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. The heater was excellent for drying any damp clothes and Angus even offered to dry any extra clothes in the front room for us. The decor is just great, clearly someone in the house is very creative. It also has some of the best rugs I've ever felt under foot! When I headed out for dinner and my friend stayed behind, Angus was eager to make sure we were ok and confirmed I had the key to let myself back in after my meal. All in all, the best stay of the entire trip. I highly recommend staying here!

We love our stays with Avril and Angus. So much so, if they are booked up, we would rather change our dates than miss out on their warm welcome. The room is lovely, spacious, immaculately clean, with every detail thought-through, including generous refreshments, TV and music, chairs to relax in as well as a comfortable bed. There is always parking available on the street outside. We usually walk to the local Persian restaurant (unlicensed) nearby in the evening for a delicious meal at a reasonable price. After a sumptuous breakfast with Angus and Avril the following morning we are then ready for anything - a walk or easy bus ride into the city or a drive to the beautiful Northumberland coast. We cannot recommend this accommodation more highly. John and Alex
