About The Kenilworth
Osborne Rd puts The Kenilworth close enough to Newcastle city centre and its attractions to explore on foot or by a short drive, while still offering a quieter suburban base away from the busiest streets. It's a handy spot for anyone wanting to see the city without paying for a central hotel.
The hotel has just 12 rooms, each decorated with a bold splash of colour, and all come with air conditioning and free WiFi. Breakfast is included, and the on-site bar tends to draw a good crowd of guests and locals alike, making it a sociable spot for an evening drink. Pets are welcome too, which is useful for those travelling with a dog.
Free on-site parking is a genuine plus in a city where that's not always easy to find, so arriving by car is straightforward. It's a no-frills option that covers the essentials well, with the city's sights and restaurants within comfortable reach.

I came here with my 5 year old daughter, for a 1 night trip in Newcastle before she went back to school. I arrived early and the manager was very friendly, she upgraded our room at no extra cost to a double bed with a single, as it was quieter room for the kid. The hotel also let us park in the car park for the following day after checkout so we could get the metro into the city before coming back at 5pm. The room was spotless and really nicely furnished. Bathroom was very nice and clean, lovely fresh carpets throughout hotel and very friendly staff. If we need a place in Newcastle we will definitely be back.

We booked a two night stay mid week. The hotel location was good for the city with bus stops almost outside the building. Friendly greeting on arrival everything explained other than the location of our room. It was on the top floor. We did so, up FIVE flights of stairs! The hotel was clean and fresh. New carpets throughout Our room was small but adequate and very clean. Bathroom with walk in shower was also clean. Several good restaurants within easy walking distance. I'd definitely go back there but ask for a room lower down.

Very pleasant overnight stay in a good location not from the city centre. There's limited parking to the rear whet reception is , though it may well be sufficient. All the hotel staff we met were friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. (Shouldn't they always be?Of course but I have spent many nights on the road for work to know that this isn't always the case, but I digress ) No bath, but to be fair, not really that important. Keys provided for after hours There's a public bar downstairs, very reasonably priced, though the clientele is substantialy younger than the author of this review!

Had a decent stay at this hotel whilst in Newcastle. Staff numbers felt low so sometimes it was slightly unorganised, we were waiting a while to be checked in and a mix up meant we had to change rooms. The hotel is also located above a number of bars, which wasn’t ideal during freshers. It didn’t stop us getting any sleep but if possible it might be better to put families in rooms to the rear of the hotel. Owner was really nice and breakfast in the morning was great. Don’t want to seem over critical
