About Travelodge Newcastle Airport
Newcastle upon Tyne's airport fringe is where Travelodge Newcastle Airport makes its home, on Kenton Bank and just five minutes from the terminal, with the A1 and Metro both within easy reach. It suits early flights, late arrivals, or anyone wanting a straightforward base without a city-centre price tag.
The hotel has 30 rooms spread across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available in room. Accessible rooms are offered, though some visitors have found the accessible facilities fall short of what's needed, so it's worth checking specifics before booking if this matters to you. Pets are welcome, and there's an electric vehicle charge point along with free on-site parking, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Reception operates around the clock.
There's no restaurant on site, but a Toby Carvery sits nearby along with other pubs and eateries for a meal without needing to travel far. Staff are consistently described as helpful, and the rooms as clean and comfortable, making this a practical choice for a night before or after a flight rather than a destination in its own right.

What guests say
I stayed at Travelodge near Newcastle Airport and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel was very clean, well organised, and the room itself was spotless. The staff were excellent, especially Dawn, who was incredibly helpful. She took the time to give me useful information about local amenities and transport, which made my stay much easier. Her kindness and care made me feel at home rather than like a stranger. Overall, the service was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. I would definitely come back and stay again.

Travelodge is a very old and dated one, furniture looks like the original furniture from when travelodges comes out , the 2 single beds we had were uncomfortable and more like children's beds. Location is good for retail park and the metro , staff friendly but this Travelodge is crying out for a refurb asap. Doubt I would use this one again

The staff are very friendly and willing to help you when you get sick of Toby Carvery food. The rooms are very clean although very out dated. My only negative was that the heater was way to small for the room I was in, even on max all day it struggled to get to 18 degrees Celsius.

Good value for money. Does anyone know where i can ask about where this hotel sources their pillows from? It's just that I'm building a conservatory at home and was looking for something solid to use as the base. Thanks in advance 🙏
