About Pensalda Guest House

Rooms at Pensalda Guest House are straightforward and comfortable, with en-suite bathrooms, drinks provided, and family rooms available for those travelling with children. A number of rooms sit in garden annexes away from the main house, giving a bit more privacy and space to spread out, while those in the family home itself keep things simple and homely rather than polished.

Breakfast is a full English, served each morning to set guests up for the day, and there's a garden with outdoor seating and a picnic area for relaxing outside. Free WiFi, luggage storage and 24 hour reception cover the practical side, and free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward, which matters in a beach town like Newquay.

The guest house is well placed for Fistral Beach and the wider Newquay area, with walking and cycling routes nearby, plus golf, fishing, horse riding and watersports on offer locally. Pubs, bars and restaurants are within easy reach too, making it a practical base for exploring the Cornish coast without frills.

Karen and James are amazing hosts, the guesthouse is clean and welcoming. This fast became our regular place to stay. It’s family friendly not loud at night and close the beaches and town. Couldn’t ask for more.

Recently stayed 4 nights with Pensalda Guest House. Great location, walking distance to local shops, beaches and town centre. Room was clean, with comfy bedding and the ensuite was spotless. Host was super friendly and happy to help with requests. Breakfast in the dining room offered plenty of choice and nice view over an impressive garden. Spacious parking out front on the property.

Absolutely amazing, perfect WIFI stayed here Monday - Saturday. Room was spotless and the property itself is very well looked after and looks so good. The owner is so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Perfect location and all beaches just a walk away, also bus stop just outside for Mevergissy, lost gardens of heligan ect. Porth beach is a must go to with amazing views.

Really enjoyed our 2 weeks here, very clean and a nice family. 25 min walk to the town which suits us as it can get rowdy in Newquay on weekends with stag and hen weekends. Worth paying for the full cooked breakfast, sets you right up for the day. A beautiful Indian restaurant which was recommended by the owners son, 5 min walk away. This is a family home so be prepared to hear the dogs bark etc when they are being taken out in a morning, not a massive problem but something to be aware of. No takeaways allowed in the building at all but again why would you? Eat in the restaurant I just mentioned
