The Boat Shed

Porth is a working village on the north Cornish coast, tucked between cliffs and beach with immediate access to the Cornish Coastal Footpath. The Boat Shed sits within walking distance of the sand—two minutes on foot—meaning you can slip down to swim or explore the shoreline without ceremony. Pubs and a tapas bar sit at beach level; Newquay's shops and restaurants are a short drive inland.

This 300-year-old cottage holds four guests across two bedrooms: a double and a twin, both with pitched ceilings and wooden furniture. There's a family bathroom on the first floor, and a second WC downstairs. The ground floor arranges itself around a lounge with underfloor heating and an electric fire, opening through to a den with armchairs. A farmhouse table seats everyone for meals; the courtyard beyond, bordered by palms and shrubs, offers outside space. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge and freezer—and a utility room houses a washing machine and dryer, useful after a day in the surf or sand.

Electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard. Dogs are welcome. The property is yours alone, with parking for two cars. Smoking is not permitted inside.
