About Titchwell Manor Hotel

Titchwell Manor is a former Victorian farmhouse on the A149 coast road, run by the Snaith family since 1988 and now led by chef patron Eric Snaith. It looks north across fields to the RSPB reserve at Titchwell Marsh and the dunes beyond, and the beach at Brancaster is a couple of minutes away by car. The hotel has held three AA Rosettes for well over a decade and has picked up regional hotel of the year awards.

There are 28 bedrooms, plus two shepherd's huts in the garden. The main house rooms are the most traditional; the Herb Garden rooms around the walled courtyard are the most sought after, several with hot tubs or private terraces, and there are family rooms and a self-contained cottage. Decoration is bright and coastal rather than chintzy, with strong colours, good beds and modern bathrooms. Dogs are accepted in a number of rooms.

Two dining spaces share the same kitchen. The Conservatory serves the more ambitious evening menu, including tasting menus, while the Eating Rooms handle relaxed lunches, seafood plates and family meals. Brancaster mussels and oysters, Cromer crab and local game appear regularly, and the wine list is longer than the size of the hotel would suggest. Breakfast is generous and normally included.

The hotel suits walkers, birdwatchers and couples who want good food without a formal atmosphere. Titchwell Marsh is a five-minute stroll, the Norfolk Coast Path runs past the door, and Burnham Market, Holkham and Hunstanton are all within a short drive. There is no pool or spa, and rooms facing the road can pick up traffic noise in summer, so a garden-side room is worth requesting.

Great hotel on the main coastal road. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are lovely; breakfast was a 10/10. The grounds are pretty and the beach a 25 min walk but well worth it, it’s gorgeous. It has a car charger there you can use for £10 08/2026).

This was our first visit to Titchwell Manor and certainly will not be our last. We attended a wedding which was conducted in the garden in blistering weather, the staff done everything possible to make sure we were all catered for and kept hydrated. We had a two night stay and everything was perfect, the food was some of the best we’ve ever eaten, the room was clean and spacious and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. They all performed the duties as would be expected despite the weather being the hottest June weather on record. A big well done and keep up the good work we shall definitely be coming back.

We love everything about Titchwell Manor Hotel. The staff are Friendly and welcoming. The rooms are of a high standard and we always sleep well when we visit. The food is absolutely amazing, whether it is the breakfast, lunch or evening meal menu you choose from. The sea food is fresh and always perfectly cooked and the steak is so succulent and cooked to perfection. Our dog loves staying too. The dog beds and treats are such special touches, it is a home away from home for her. We return as often as we are able as we always have such a relaxing break and return feeling child and refreshed.

excellent service, all the staff were attentive, friendly and professional. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The food was excellent and my dog loved his sausage breakfast. I can’t fault it. We will definitely go back. If I had to change anything, maybe the bar area where we ate with our dog lacked a little bit of atmosphere, but the views of the beach and sunset made up for it.
