Award-winning eco campsite on an organic farm, five minutes from the north Norfolk coast

About Deepdale Camping & Rooms

Deepdale Camping occupies six grassy paddocks on an organic working farm in Burnham Deepdale, right on the Norfolk Coast Path and five minutes' walk from the salt marshes. The site welcomes tents, campervans and motorhomes across around 85 pitches—though caravans are deliberately excluded, so check before booking. Heated shower blocks with underfloor heating take the edge off cooler months, and a proportion of pitches offer electric hook-up. What sets Deepdale apart is its on-site courtyard complex: a farm shop, café, bike hire and small independents mean you needn't move the car once you've arrived.

The location delivers for walkers and birdwatchers—RSPB Titchwell Marsh lies two miles west, Holkham a short drive east, and Burnham Market's galleries and delis are just inland. There's no pool or playground, reinforcing the site's quiet, nature-focused character, and it has collected multiple AA Small Campsite awards in recent years. Expect to pay from around £14 per person in low season; July and August rates climb steeply and book out months ahead.

We had a great stay at Deepdale in one of their private rooms whilst walking the Norfolk Coast path. As we were arriving without a car we got an extra 10% discount. The room was very spacious and comfortable (it actually had beds for 6). The shared facilities including bathrooms, kitchen and lounge were also great. At Deepdale there are also quite a few small shops, a cafe and a small supermarket. Steve and the Deepdale team were excellent and very welcoming.

Fantastic camp site! Shame we only stayed one night. We stayed in one of the rooms which was clean and spacious except it had no towels ( we didn’t notice this so our mistake!). However, one of the staff very kindly lent us one. Communal kitchen with everything you could want or need. Morrisons next door but very expensive! Staff incredibly helpful. Very well organised campsite.

Truly excellent camp site. Astonishingly clean facilities, and the multiple, spacious, individual shower rooms was great. Very friendly staff, walked us to the pitch and took time explaining everything to us. On-site amenities very good - supermarket open until 8pm, cafe, fuel, lots of other nice little shops. L2 EV charger available. WiFi was a bit meh - not very fast, not very stable, and irritating sign-in portal that would randomly ask you to sign in again. Mobile coverage on EE was functionalily non-existent, and Vodafone was patchy and variable. Would absolutely stay again. Couple of local pubs within walking distance on safe-feeling roads. Jolly Sailor was welcoming and very reasonably priced.

You can certainly see why this is an award winning campsite. It had everything we needed. There are shops on the front, along with the pizza van that came on the evening (this was a Saturday night for us). The amenities block had plenty of rooms available each with their own toilet, shower and sink (some with hairdryers) and unfloor heating! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly. We had a lovely walk down the coast path to Burnham Overy Staithe and back. We had a jumbo pitch which was lovely and spacious. We would recommend and come back!!!
