Isle of Arran packs drama into a small space: rugged mountains in the north, sheltered beaches along the coast, and villages scattered between. Red squirrels, golden eagles, deer and seals live here. The island suits anyone from outdoor adventurers—mountain biking, sea kayaking, paragliding all happen here—to those wanting a quieter break exploring villages, trying local cheeses and whisky, or simply walking. Blackwaterfoot, a couple of minutes' drive away, has shops, restaurants, a beach and a golf club.
Park House is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage sleeping six, with the whole place to yourselves. Downstairs there is a living room with woodburner and smart TV, a kitchen and dining room with full cooking facilities, a utility room with washing machine and dishwasher, a conservatory, and a bathroom with bath and shower. The first floor holds three bedrooms: one with a super king bed, one with a zip-and-link super king (which splits into two singles), and one with two single beds. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. The woodburner has initial logs supplied. An enclosed lawned garden with seating area and furniture provides a quiet spot between excursions. Private parking for four cars is on site. No smoking; one pet is welcome.
