About Runach Arainn Glamping
Runach Arainn – Gaelic for "beloved Arran" – is a small glamping site on a working smallholding near Kilmory in the island's quieter south west. Three Scottish-made yurts sit among a young orchard, each with its own bathroom, kitchen area and private fire pit, sleeping four or six guests. Bedding, towels and full self-catering kit come as standard, so there's no need to pack camping equipment, and wifi reaches across the site – a practical touch in such a remote corner.
The smallholding setting gives the place a low-key, working-farm character that standard campsites rarely manage. Open February to November, it's well suited to shoulder-season visits when tent camping feels too risky. Torrlinn's sandy shore, Lagg Distillery and Blackwaterfoot are all close by, making this a good base for couples and families after a slower, self-catering pace on Arran's less-travelled southern half.

This is such a beautiful spot. Easy enough to get to from the ferry/bus. Extremely good communication led to a smooth stay. The yurts themselves are a delight as are the surrounding spaces. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're ok with having to pop outside to go to the bathroom or to plug your phone in to charge in the kitchen area.

Stayed in Rosa yurt for 4 nights in march and had a great time at the campsite. Yurt was spacious and comfortable and clean. Warm once the fire had been on for 20 mins. Great set up at Campsite. This was a ideal location to switch off and relax. Will return.

These yurts were one of the highlights of our trip!! So beautifully done in a lovely spot. We used the open fire outside to barbecue potatoes and scallops. I couldn't recommended more. Only feedback I have is the hosts were not easily contactable. Otherwise fab!

A great place for relaxation. A lot of thought put into the yurts. The instructions in the welcome booklet are clear and helpful for a first timer. I was undoubtedly impressed by the use of Eco-friendly compost toilets and the use of solar lights. We will definitely visit again!
