Burncliff works well for families and larger groups needing space to spread out across five bedrooms and two bathrooms. The property sleeps eight, with two double beds, a bunk bed, and two singles split between ground and first floors. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. The whole place is yours alone, with parking for two cars and an enclosed garden with sitting-out area at the back—note there is an unfenced stream running through it.
The main living areas have a woodburner (initial fuel included), smart TV, and a kitchen fitted with an electric cooker, oil Aga, dishwasher and microwave. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all covered. The location puts you within ten minutes' walk of Blackwaterfoot village, where you'll find a newsagent, butchers, bakery and grocery shop selling local produce; the Kinloch hotel has bars and a restaurant open to visitors. Shiskine Golf Club is a mile away, and Blackwaterfoot beach is close by for swimming and walks. Inland, the Machrie Moor Stone Circles and clifftop paths to the King's Caves offer varied terrain for walkers. The property does not allow smoking.

Burncliff is a wonderful holiday home. It is spacious yet warm, with all the amenities you could need. It was so quiet and the beds were so comfortable that I slept like a log every night. The beach, pub and shops are less than 10 minutes walk down the road.

Burncliff is a lovely house. We were six adults and two three-year-olds (an extended family) staying for a week. The weather was sometimes cool and wet but the house was always warm and cosy. The Aga was a learning curve but the supplied books helped enormously. The beds were comfortable and again extra blankets ensured that we were never cold. We found all the equipment that we could want - microwave, washer, drier, freezer, coffee maker. There is one shower and one bath so shower times need to be planned. We found it useful to have picked up a click and collect shop from the Co-op in Troon, but apparently the Co-op in Brodick does a similar thing. The local grocery shop is small but quite well-equipped and also expectedly more expensive if you were to do a large shop there. The owner did contact us to ask whether we wanted stair gates along with a high chair, which was thoughtful. Adult excursions around the island - walking, swimming, exploring etc. are easy enough to find. The children enjoyed the Play Barn in Brodick and the swimming pool in the same complex.

Wonderful charming home. Perfect for 2 x families of 4. Would be great if dogs could be accepted. Beds very comfortable. Great space out back for kids to play. Lovely hamper waiting for us on arrival. A bit spider-y and cobweb-y but only bothered the girls a little. Would book again in a heartbeat 😀👍

We loved our stay. Great location, not far from Brodick and so close to the local beach! (Amazing beach too) The house was more spacious than I thought it would be. Was worried with 4 adults and 4 kids we’d be a bit cramped, but no fear. We hardly used the sitting room and still plenty of space. Nice to have a back garden for the kids to run around in. Was really impressed with Arran too as this was our first stay. If we come back, will definitely check whether this place is available!
