Myrtle Loft

Myrtle Loft is a one-bedroom coastal property in Bideford, North Devon, separated from the owner's home but sharing their gardens. You arrive into a ground-floor kitchen and dining area fitted with what you need to cook—electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer—plus a washer dryer. Upstairs, the living room opens onto views of the sea, and the bedroom (with a zip-and-link bed that converts from double to singles) connects to an ensuite with shower over the bath. Central heating and wi-fi are included, along with bed linen and towels.

Outside, you have exclusive use of a private hot tub on the decking, where garden furniture and a barbecue are already set up. The sandy beach is less than 500 yards away. Commodore Instow, with its sailing and water sports centre, is within walking distance. The Tarka Trail runs nearby for level coastal cycling and walking. Bideford itself is three miles south and operates ferries to Appledore (home to a Maritime Museum and fishing trips) and day excursions to Lundy Island. The shared garden includes a pond. No smoking; not suitable for children.
